The Jade Cask is a luxury whisky and cigar lounge located in the Pullman Hotel Mandalay. It is a space crafted for connoisseurs of rare and unique whiskies from around the globe where Eastern refinement meets the rich tradition of whisky appreciation.
Inspired by the symbolism of jade and the timeless allure of fine whisky, the brand brings together heritage, elegance, and craft into an immersive and elevated experience.
The Vessel Studio was commissioned to craft a full brand identity system. From logo and visual language to bottle design and packaging that would feel distinctively Asian yet globally elegant.
The goal was to express this duality across every brand touchpoint. Balancing heritage with modernity, minimalism with ornament, and quiet luxury with cultural depth.
The brand identity centres around sophistication and timeless allure, represented by its emblematic logo that merges the initials "TJC" into an elegant icon. The deep green colour evokes the precious stone jade, while the gold symbolises the richness of whisky, aligning with the brand’s heritage and quality.
The visual identity combines a restrained palette and symbolic detailing:
Primary colours: Deep jade green and antique gold, representing wealth, refinement, and flavour
Typography: A mix of serif elegance and clean sans-serifs for flexibility
Graphic accents: Subtle patterns inspired by jade carvings, geometric precision, and layered textures
Materials: Matte finishes and gold foils used in print and packaging for a tactile sense of luxury
Reflecting its commitment to refinement, The Jade Cask even crafted its own single malt, embodying the philosophy that the journey for the perfect dram is endless.
The Jade Cask positions itself as more than just a whisky brand, it’s a story of heritage distilled into every drop. The brand identity has helped The Jade Cask stand out in both Eastern and Western markets, capturing the attention of collectors, connoisseurs, and design-conscious drinkers alike.
