The SpongeBob Run Singapore marked the first-ever SpongeBob-themed run in Asia, held at Siloso Beach, Sentosa. Designed as a fully immersive experience for fans of all ages, the event combined entertainment, nostalgia, and outdoor fun with the unmistakable charm of Bikini Bottom.
The Vessel Studio was commissioned to develop the full visual identity, key art, and event marketing materials. We aimed at creating a bold, family-friendly brand world that felt true to SpongeBob’s playful energy while adaptable across all event touchpoints.
Inspired by the vivid, offbeat world of Bikini Bottom, the creative direction leaned into the show’s signature humour, nautical elements, and tropical colour palette. We aimed to create a sense of joy and discovery that resonated with both children and nostalgic adults.
The official SpongeBob Run Singapore logo was created to bring together the infectious energy of the beloved character with bold, event-specific flair, aligned with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob style guide. This logo served as the central brand mark across all event materials, from race entitlements and race bibs to digital assets and merchandise, ensuring maximum recognition and SpongeBob-style joy at every touchpoint.
The event sold out and drew thousands of participants, becoming a landmark moment for regional fans of the franchise. The design system played a crucial role in shaping the fan experience and delivering visual consistency, emotional resonance, and excitement across every touchpoint.
As a result, the event is an unforgettable run through Bikini Bottom that brought SpongeBob’s world to life—sunny, silly, and full of heart. A celebration of fun, friendship, and fandom made tangible through bold, joyful design.
